Such caps off a disappointing 2026 campaign for the Mariners, who entered the year with high expectations on the heels of a stirring postseason run in 2025. But the same club that fell one win shy of the AL pennant last season endured no such magic in ‘26. Seattle was never more than four games over the .500 mark and has limped to the finish line with a 26-35 record since the All-Star break.
