Mariners FanFest to feature plenty of new faces

January 27th, 2017

SEATTLE -- Mariners faithful seeking a first look at some of the new faces that will represent their club in 2017 get the chance for introductions this weekend at the team's 19th annual FanFest, which runs Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. PT.
Six newcomers -- including standout shortstop and speedy outfielder -- are among the nine Major League players committed to appear at the Safeco Field event, which also includes a special 9-11 a.m. session Saturday for season ticket holders.
Segura is a former National League All-Star who was acquired in a five-player trade that sent to the D-backs in November, while Dyson helped the Royals to a pair of World Series appearances before landing in Seattle in another trade during general manager Jerry Dipoto's busy offseason.
Outfielder Mitch Haniger, first baseman/outfielder Danny Valencia and starting pitchers Drew Smyly and -- also acquired by trade this winter -- will be among the participants at the two-day gathering, as well.

That group of newcomers will be joined by three key returnees -- starting pitcher , center fielder and hard-throwing reliever -- as well as Dipoto and manager Scott Servais.
Also scheduled to appear are former Mariners standouts Edgar Martinez, Dan Wilson, Jay Buhner and Dave Valle, plus top prospects Kyle Lewis, Tyler O'Neill and Andrew Moore. Pitcher Nick Neidert was a late scratch due to illness.
A schedule of the times for autograph sessions and fan question-and-answer sessions, as well as ticket information, is available on Mariners.com/FanFest.
Tickets are $10 for adults, with kids 14 and under admitted for free. Tickets may be purchased in advance at Mariners.com/FanFest or at Mariners team stores, as well as at the Safeco ticket windows during the event. Parking at the Safeco Field garage is $10.
Players will sign autographs and take part in Dugout Dialogue Q&A sessions with fans, who can also take part in tours of the team's clubhouse, run around the bases, throw a pitch in the bullpen, play catch in the outfield, ride a 200-foot zip line over the outfield or take part in numerous other activities.

All the Dugout Dialogue sessions with players, coaches and front-office members will be streamed live on Mariners.com.
