MARINERS REINSTATE INF/OF MILES MASTROBUONI FROM 60-DAY INJURED LIST AND RECALL RHP DOMINGO GONZÁLEZ FROM TRIPLE-A TACOMA

INF Ryan Bliss optioned to Triple-A Tacoma, RHP Matt Brash placed on 15-day Injured List and RHP Yosver Zulueta designated for assignment

BALTIMORE – Seattle Mariners Executive Vice President & General Manager of Baseball Operations Justin Hollander announced today the following roster moves:

  • Miles Mastrobuoni, INF/OF, reinstated from 60-day Injured List (right calf strain).
  • Domingo González, RHP, recalled from Triple-A Tacoma.
  • Ryan Bliss, INF, optioned to Triple-A Tacoma.
  • Matt Brash, RHP, placed on 15-day Injured List (right lat strain, retroactive to June 9).
  • Yosver Zulueta, RHP, designated for assignment.

Mastrobuoni (mass-troh-BOH-nee), 30, will make his season debut when he first appears in a game. He made 15 rehab appearances between the ACL Mariners and Triple-A Tacoma Rainiers, batting .178 (8x45) with 2 doubles, 1 triple, 1 home run, 2 RBI, 8 walks and 4 stolen bases.

The left-handed hitting infielder/outfielder appeared in 76 games with Seattle in 2025, batting .250 (38x152) with 20 runs, 4 doubles, 1 home run, 12 RBI, 6 stolen bases and 17 walks and appeared at four defensive positions (3B, 2B, RF, LF). In 193 career Major League games between the Rays (2022), Cubs (2023-24) and Mariners (2025-c), he is batting .231 (92x399) with 54 runs, 12 doubles, 2 home runs, 21 RBI, 22 stolen bases and 38 walks.

Mastrobuoni was originally selected by Tampa Bay in the 14th round of the 2016 MLB First-Year Player Draft out of the University of Nevada. He made his Major League debut with the Rays on Sept. 22, 2022 and was traded to the Cubs in exchange for minor league right-hander Alfredo Zárraga on Nov. 15, 2022. He was acquired by Seattle on Jan. 14, 2025.

González, 26, prior to being optioned on May 18, made his Major League debut on May 12 at Houston, tossing a scoreless inning with 1 strikeout. He made 4 appearances with Seattle, tallying 5.2 IP with 3 walks and 5 strikeouts. In Triple-A Tacoma, he is 0-1 and a 2.49 ERA (4 ER, 21.2 IP) with 6 walks and 19 strikeouts in 18 appearances.

González was claimed off waivers by the Mariners from the Atlanta Braves on August 12, 2025. The San Francisco de Macoris, Dominican Republic native has spent time in the Pirates (2018-22), Braves (2023-25) and Mariners (2025-c) organizations, appearing in 231 minor league games (36 starts). The right-hander is 33-24 with 14 saves and a 4.04 ERA (211 ER, 470.0 IP) with 535 strikeouts and 203 walks in his minor league career.

Bliss, 26, was recalled on June 8 and appeared in 2 games at second base for Seattle. The right-handed hitting infielder also appeared in a game with the Mariners earlier this season, and appeared in 11 games with Seattle in 2025.

In 51 games with Triple-A Tacoma this season, Bliss is batting .204 (43x211) with 13 runs, 11 doubles, 1 home run, 15 RBI and 9 stolen bases.

Bliss has appeared in 47 Major League games, all with Seattle (2024-c), batting .208 (22x106) with 4 doubles, 1 triple, 3 homers, 13 RBI and 7 stolen bases with a .629 OPS and 83 OPS+. The LaGrange, Georgia native was originally selected by the Arizona Diamondbacks in the 2nd round of the 2021 MLB First-Year Player Draft out of Auburn University (AL) and was acquired by the Mariners, along with INF Josh Rojas, on July 31, 2023 in exchange for RHP Paul Sewald.

Brash, 28, was reinstated from the Injured List on May 20, since then he’s made 6 appearances and only allowed 1 run in 5.1 IP. In his 20 MLB appearances this season, Brash is 3-0 with a 0.54 ERA (1 ER, 16.2 IP) with 15 strikeouts and 6 walks. The Mariners are 18-2 when Brash appears in a game this season.

The right-hander has appeared in 4 Major League seasons with Seattle (2022-c), going 17-11 with 8 saves and a 3.06 ERA (63 ER, 185.1 IP) with 242 strikeouts and 86 walks in 190 games (5 starts). He missed the 2024 season after undergoing Tommy John surgery.

Brash was acquired by Seattle as the “player to be named later” from the San Diego Padres in a deal that sent right-hander Taylor Williams to the Padres on Aug. 31, 2020. Brash has been one of the most effective relief pitchers in the game since joining the Mariners, leading the Majors in appearances (78) in 2023 and going 1-0 with a 1.46 ERA (2 ER, 12.1 IP) in 11 Postseason appearances between 2022 and ’25.

Zulueta, 28, has made 22 appearances with Triple-A Tacoma in 2026, going 2-3 with a 5.75 ERA (13 ER, 20.1 IP), 16 walks and 21 strikeouts. He was acquired by the Mariners from the Cincinnati Reds in exchange for minor league RHP Dusty Revis on January 15, 2026.

The Cuba-born right-handed pitcher has played in parts of 2 Major League seasons with the Cincinnati Reds. He has also played in 6 minor league seasons in the Blue Jays (2021-23), Reds (2024-25) and Mariners (2026) systems.
