SEATTLE – Seattle Mariners Executive Vice President & General Manager of Baseball Operations Justin Hollander announced today the following roster moves:
- Stuart Fairchild (#17), OF, selected from Triple-A Tacoma.
- Victor Robles, OF, placed on Family Medical Emergency List.
- Brennen Davis, OF, recalled from Triple-A Tacoma and placed on 60-day Injured List (left hamstring strain).
The Mariners 40-man roster remains full at 40 players.
Fairchild, 30, was designated for assignment on Aug. 4 and cleared waivers and was outrighted to Triple-A Tacoma on August 7. He was selected from Triple-A Tacoma on Aug. 1 and made one appearance with Seattle as a pinch runner on Aug. 2 vs. Minnesota, scoring the winning run in the 7-6 walk-off.
The right-handed hitting outfielder has appeared in 30 games with Triple-A Tacoma this season, batting .288 (30x104) with 8 doubles, 2 triples, 5 home runs, 19 RBI, 8 stolen bases and an .961 OPS.
The Seattle native attended Seattle Preparatory School and previously spent time in the Mariners organization in 2022, which included three games in the Majors with Seattle. He was selected by the Cincinnati Reds in the 2nd round of the 2017 MLB First-Year Player Draft out of Wake Forest University (NC). Fairchild has spent big league time with the Arizona Diamondbacks (2021), Mariners (2022, 2026), San Francisco Giants (2022), Reds (2022-24), Atlanta Braves (2025) and Guardians (2026), batting .221 (135x610) with 95 runs, 33 doubles, 4 triples, 18 homers, 69 RBI, 27 stolen bases and 62 walks in 292 games.
Robles (ROBE-lace), 29, is batting .260 (34x131) with 14 runs, 3 doubles, 2 triples,10 stolen bases and an .632 OPS in 62 Major League games with the Mariners this season.
The Santo Domingo Este native spent most of last season on the Injured List after suffering a left shoulder dislocation making a leaping catch into the netting on April 6, 2025 at San Francisco, causing him to miss 119 games. Robles had a standout 2024 season after signing with the Mariners, batting .328 (75x229) with 41 runs, 20 doubles, 4 home runs, 26 RBI, 30 stolen bases and a .860 OPS in 77 games.
Robles began his career with the Washington Nationals, appearing in 8 big-league seasons for them from 2017-24. Robles was the starting center fielder on the 2019 World Series-winning Nationals team. He originally signed with Washington as an international free agent out of the Dominican Republic on July 2, 2013.
Davis, 26, is batting .265 (45x170) with 29 runs, 15 doubles, 9 home runs, 31 RBI and 24 walks in 47 games with Triple-A Tacoma this season, getting on base at a .376 clip, slugging .512 with an .887 OPS across 205 plate appearances in his first season in the Mariners organization. The right-handed hitting outfielder last appeared in a game on May 29 before being sidelined with a left hamstring strain.
