SEATTLE -- Travis Ishikawa, an eight-year Major League first baseman who starred in the 2014 National League Championship Series for the Giants, has signed a Minor League deal with the Mariners with an invitation to big league camp, according to a source. The club did not confirm the deal.
Ishikawa, a 32-year-old who grew up in Federal Way, Wash., has posted a .255/.321/.391 career line with the Giants, Pirates, Yankees, Orioles and Brewers. After starting the 2015 season on the disabled list with a back injury, he hit .206 with one home run and eight RBIs in 63 at-bats last year with the Giants and Pirates, while also batting .267 with four homers and 21 RBIs in 150 at-bats in the Minors.

The left-handed-hitting Ishikawa has also played some outfield during his career. He was a member of the Giants' World Series champion clubs in both 2010 and '14 and hit a walk-off, three-run homer to beat the Cardinals and clinch the NL pennant for the Giants in Game 5 of the '14 NLCS.

Ishikawa was a 21st-round pick by the Giants out of Federal Way High School in the 2002 Draft.
