Mariners trade RHP Herb to Giants in exchange for cash considerations

Seattle Mariners Executive Vice President & General Manager of Baseball Operations Jerry Dipoto announced today that the club traded AA Arkansas right-handed pitcher Tyler Herb to the San Francisco Giants in exchange for cash considerations.

SEATTLE, Wash. - Seattle Mariners Executive Vice President & General Manager of Baseball Operations Jerry Dipoto announced today that the club traded AA Arkansas right-handed pitcher Tyler Herb to the San Francisco Giants in exchange for cash considerations.
Herb, 25, went 6-4 with a 3.31 ERA (36 ER, 98.0 IP) in 16 starts with AA Arkansas this season. He limited opponents to a .264 (97x368) average, while walking 30 and striking out 88.
Herb was originally selected by Seattle in the 29th round of the 2014 MLB First-Year Player Draft out of Coastal Carolina University. In 4 minor league seasons with Seattle, Herb went 25-22 with a 4.10 (189 ER, 415.0 IP) in 89 games, 69 starts.
