ST. PETERSBURG -- The Yankees could have Carlos Beltran and Mark Teixeira back in the starting lineup on Monday, when they open a three-game series against the Blue Jays at Rogers Centre.
Beltran left Saturday's 9-5 loss to the Rays with tightness near his right scapula, having hit a home run for his 2,500th career hit earlier in the game. He said that he should be available off the bench on Sunday.
 

"I'm not worried," Beltran said. "I've been through worse. This is nothing, man."
Yankees manager Joe Girardi said that he had planned to give Beltran a day off, with the team visiting two artificial-turf parks on this trip.
"I was leaning to giving him a day off on the turf somewhere in these six days in a row," Girardi said. "I figured I would do it today since he came out yesterday and he's sore."
Teixeira had not played since May 24 due to neck spasms, but he entered Sunday's 2-1 win over the Rays as a defensive replacement in the seventh inning. He had taken batting practice on the field before the game, hitting a long home run from the right side of the plate.
Teixeira said that there is a "night-and-day difference" compared to last week, when he had two cortisone injections to calm the spasms.
While Beltran has enjoyed a productive season at the plate, it has been a rough go for Teixeira, who was hitting .195 with three homers and 12 RBIs entering play Sunday. Girardi said that he hoped the time off, while unwanted, would have some benefit.
"I think sometimes that can help," Girardi said. "I think Mark has a real belief in himself. I don't think he's doubting his abilities. I think he's probably frustrated with the neck, and he probably wants to know that it's healthy. That will be a big lift for him."
