The Marlins made a pair of roster moves Thursday, claiming left-hander Eric Jokisch from the Cubs and designating right-hander Scott McGough for assignment.
Jokisch was optioned to Triple-A New Orleans.
Jokisch, 26, has appeared in four Major League games (one start). He is 48-41 with a 3.62 ERA in seven Minor League seasons, working mostly as a starter.
McGough, a former fifth-round pick by the Dodgers, has a 9.45 ERA in six career relief appearances.
