Marlins place Bour on DL with ankle bruise
CHICAGO -- The Marlins on Tuesday placed first baseman Justin Bour on the 10-day disabled list, retroactive to Monday, with a left ankle bruise.
Miami also recalled catcher Tomas Telis from Triple-A New Orleans before Tuesday's game against the Cubs at Wrigley Field. Bour underwent an MRI exam before Monday's series-opening 3-1 Marlins loss.
Bour, who turned 29 on May 28, entered Tuesday tied for the National League lead in home runs with 16. He's hitting .295/.369/.589 in 55 games.

"In general, we think it's going to be 10 days," Marlins manager Don Mattingly said. "Obviously you never know. I didn't think it was going to be a DL [stint], either."
Bour injured his left ankle while stepping on first base in his final at-bat of Saturday's game against the D-backs, in which Miami's Edinson Volquez threw a no-hitter. Bour dealt with discomfort on Sunday, but he entered as a pinch-hitter for one at-bat.
