Marlins to host Wynwood Walls block party

April 3rd, 2022

Opening Day is drawing closer, and the Marlins have a couple of events lined up to build the excitement.

Art will meet baseball on Tuesday, when the Marlins and Major League Baseball host a neighborhood bash from 4-7 p.m. ET at the world-famous Wynwood Walls. The cost of admission will be covered as part of a league-wide "Enjoy the Show" campaign to celebrate the various ways fans can enjoy baseball on and off the field.

Those who stop by can win prizes, taste free ballpark-themed bites, test their arm in speed pitch and meet Marlins alumni Gaby Sanchez and Antonio Alfonseca, mascot Billy The Marlin and the Marlins Mermaids. Fans will receive a commemorative Opening Day 2022 card, featuring a special design by one of five artists with a QR code on the back that will allow them to unlock a special Opening Day social media filter.

On Friday, the Marlins will host Opening Day watch parties at Duffy's Sports Grill in Kendall (8575 SW 124 Ave., Miami, FL, 33183) and Fort Lauderdale (1804 Cordova Rd., Ft. Lauderdale, FL, 33316). There will be special prices on domestic beer and signature cocktails, a live DJ and an event host, along with promotional giveaways raffled off to guests. First pitch is scheduled for 4:35 p.m. ET.
