Miller's scoreless streak ends at 34 2/3 innings in win against Cubs

SAN DIEGO -- Fresh off of claiming the all-time franchise record scoreless streak on Saturday in Mexico City, entered Monday night’s affair at Petco Park looking to continue his dominant run.

But alas, the streak finally ended in the Padres' 9-7 win over the Cubs, as Miller allowed two runs in the ninth inning.

Officially, Miller went 34 2/3 innings without allowing a run dating back to Aug. 6 of last season. His streak ranks as the eighth longest among relievers since at least 1961.
