Mason Miller is now eight innings away from tying the record for the longest scoreless streak in Padres history.
And based on how feeble opposing hitters have looked against the flamethrowing right-hander during his streak, it doesn't seem like it's going to end anytime soon.
Miller hasn’t allowed a run in his past 25 2/3 innings, the longest active scoreless streak in the Majors. But that figure doesn't even explain the full extent of his dominance.
Here are some incredible facts and figures behind Miller's streak.
• Miller hasn’t allowed a run since Aug. 5, 2025, his second appearance with the Padres after they acquired him from the A’s in a Trade Deadline blockbuster. According to the Elias Sports Bureau, he now has the eighth-longest scoreless streak in Padres history -- Cla Meredith set the franchise record with 33 2/3 consecutive scoreless innings in 2006.
• If you include the 2025 postseason and ’26 World Baseball Classic, Miller has thrown 32 1/3 straight scoreless innings.
• The right-hander has faced 15 batters this season, and 11 have gone down on strikes. That includes nine consecutive K’s -- all swinging -- dating back to his appearance on April 1, with only six called balls during that stretch of at-bats.
• Miller is best known for his triple-digit heater, but his slider may be even tougher to hit. He’s generated a 76.9% whiff rate on sliders this season and has struck out a whopping 33 batters in 44 PAs ending on sliders during his scoreless streak.
• Opposing hitters have collected just five hits -- all singles -- in 79 at-bats off Miller during his scoreless streak, good for a .063 batting average. Nearly 60% of the batters he’s faced during that time have struck out. We should name the five hitters who have gotten a hit off Miller during this run, because they probably deserve a medal or something.

-- Josh Naylor, Aug. 26, 2025
-- Warming Bernabel, Sept. 6, 2025
-- Luis Arraez, April 1, 2026
• Of the past 50 hitters to face Miller in the regular season, Arraez is the only one to collect a base knock.
• Among the 365 pitchers to face at least 75 batters since Miller's scoreless streak began, he ranks first in opponents’ batting average (.063), slugging percentage (.063), strikeout rate (59.6%) and whiff rate (52.2%) -- and second place isn’t particularly close in any of those categories.
• Miller has recorded a 0.65 ERA in a Padres uniform, the third-lowest mark through a pitcher's first 26 appearances with the franchise behind Fernando Rodney (0.34 in 2016) and John Urrea (0.52 in 1981).
