Matt Harvey continued to progress toward a return to the Mets' rotation with his third Minor League rehab outing on Monday.
Harvey started and pitched three innings for Double-A Binghamton in the Rumble Ponies' Eastern League matchup against New Hampshire at NYSEG Stadium. He gave up two runs on four hits with three strikeouts and on walk. Harvey threw 53 pitches (31 strikes).

Harvey landed on the disabled list in mid-June with a stress injury to the scapula bone in his right shoulder. He began his Minor League assignment last week, pitching in two games for Class A Short-Season Brooklyn. He allowed one run on a hit, a walk and a stolen base on 18 pitches in his first rehab start for the Cyclones, then followed that up with three scoreless frames (36 pitches) on Wednesday against Aberdeen.
Prior to his injury, Harvey went 4-3 with a 5.25 ERA in 13 starts with the Mets. He last pitched in the big leagues on June 14.
