With the July 31 non-waiver Trade Deadline fast approaching, Major League clubs looking to bolster their rosters for the season's stretch run have their attention focused on a select group of players who could provide the boost contenders need for a postseason push.
The White Sox appear inclined to move , and the outfielder might have raised his stock with his offensive outburst on Saturday.
Cabrera, who will become a free agent after the season, went 4-for-4 with a solo home run, double and two RBIs against the Royals. Cabrera clubbed his 13th homer of the season off Kansas City left-hander . He also raised his batting average to .296, recorded his 16th double and increased his RBI total to 56.
Cabrera could be a useful piece for contenders looking for an outfielder, though the White Sox might need to cover some of his remaining salary because he's earning $15 million this season.

Nunez had a productive day at the plate for the Giants, going 3-for-5 with a double, walk and two RBIs, raising his average to .299. The infielder has multiple hits in three of his last five games.

Nunez is said to be the Giants' most likely trade candidate heading into the non-waiver Trade Deadline. The Red Sox are reportedly interested in the versatile Nunez, who has also been linked to the Indians.

Kinsler's name showed up in trade rumors Saturday, with the first-place Brewers reportedly interested in trading for the Tigers second baseman. Kinsler went 0-for-3 with two walks and a run against the Twins.
Kinsler, 35, is in the final guaranteed year of his contract but has a $10 million club option for 2018. The Brewers' pursuit of Kinsler likely will hinge on the health of fellow second baseman , according to MLB Network Insider Ken Rosenthal.

Teheran started for the Braves and was charged with a loss on the road against the Dodgers. The right-hander worked 6 1/3 innings and allowed four earned runs on nine hits, including three homers. Teheran (7-8, 4.75 ERA) struck out six and issued one walk.

The Braves are said to be willing to listen to offers on Teheran, who is under team control through 2020. The Royals scouted one of Teheran's recent starts, and the Astros have been linked to him as well.

Bruce started in right field for the Mets and hit a two-run homer off A's left-hander . Bruce finished the game 1-for-4 with a strikeout. His 25 homers are tied with for fourth in the National League.

The Red Sox and Indians are rumored to be interested in Bruce, who is making $13 million in the final year of his contract. The Mets reportedly would be willing to include cash in a potential Bruce trade.

Hellickson started for the Phillies and received a no-decision against the Brewers. The right-hander pitched five innings and was charged with six earned runs on seven hits, including a home run. He struck out six and allowed two walks.

Hellickson (6-5, 4.73 ERA) is a good bet to be traded, and he's been linked to the Royals and Mariners. Teams are always looking for pitching at the Trade Deadline, and Hellickson is earning $17.2 million in the final year of his contract.

Cabrera started at third base and went 2-for-5 with a double and a strikeout against the A's. It was his 12th double of the season and his 16th game with multiple hits.

The Indians, Mariners and Red Sox are among the teams to have at least kicked the tires on Cabrera, who asked to be traded before walking those comments back. He's making $8.25 million this season and has a club option for next year worth $8.5 million with a $2 million buyout.
