Lindor does dugout interview ... conducted by his 5-year-old daughter

earned the nickname Mr. Smile for a reason, and he just delivered a whole bunch of them with one of the cutest interviews we’ve seen in a long time.

The Mets’ superstar shortstop sat down in the Citi Field dugout with an up-and-coming reporter: his 5-year-old daughter Kalina. Kalina peppered her dad with rapid-fire questions in a roughly five-minute video posted to the Mets’ YouTube account.

Among the best ones Kalina posed to pops? Who would win in a race, who’s the boss at home and what Kalina wants to be when she grows up.

You’ll also have to stick around for Lindor’s take on cookies -- and Kalina’s instant jab that she makes good ones, too. One of Lindor’s other children, younger daughter Amapola, crashed the party just before things wrapped up.

Lindor begins his sixth season with the Mets on Thursday, when New York hosts the Pirates at 1:15 p.m. ET on NBC/Peacock. The five-time All-Star worked back from surgery to remove his left hamate bone during Spring Training, and he said he’s already started to feel mostly like himself after playing five games in camp.
