Injury: Sprained UCL in right elbow
Expected return: 2026
Status: Underwent a hybrid Tommy John surgery in September 2024 and missed the entire 2025 campaign. Began throwing for the first time again on March 11 and graduated to bullpen sessions in August, with an eye toward being ready for the start of 2026. (updated Nov. 3)
LHP A.J. Minter
Injury: Left lat surgery
Expected return: 2026
Status: Underwent season-ending surgery May 12 after tearing his lat muscle off the bone. Hopes to have a normal Spring Training in 2026, though the start of his season could be delayed. (updated Nov. 3) More >>
RHP Reed Garrett
Injury: Right elbow sprain
Expected return: 2027
Status: After getting a second opinion, Garrett underwent Tommy John surgery on Oct. 8. He will likely be arbitration-eligible as a Super Two player this offseason, forcing the Mets to make a financial decision about his future. (updated Nov. 3) More >>
RHP Tylor Megill
Injury: Right elbow sprain
Expected return: 2027
Status: Underwent season-ending Tommy John surgery on Sept. 22. Is likely to miss all of 2026 as well and will be a non-tender candidate after this season, though the Mets could retain Megill in hopes of him providing value in 2027. (updated Nov. 3) More >>
RHP Dedniel Núñez
Injury: Right elbow sprain
Expected return: 2026
Status: Underwent the second Tommy John surgery of his career in July. Missed the rest of 2025 and likely most of next season as well. (updated Nov. 3) More >>
