SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -- Mets outfielder Tim Tebow returned to the Scottsdale lineup on Thursday after sitting out Tuesday and Wednesday due to an injured knee. The 29-year-old did not travel with the team to Salt River on Wednesday, staying back in Scottsdale to get treatment.
Tebow left Monday's Arizona Fall League game in the bottom of the fourth inning after hurting his right knee while sliding into second base. After reaching via a fielder's choice, Tebow was injured while attempting to steal his second base of the Fall League. Orioles catcher Austin Wynns threw him out, and he gingerly walked off the field.

Tebow has struggled offensively during his AFL stint, batting just .147 (5-for-34) overall, but he has hits in each of his past three games
The former Heisman Trophy winner stood out in his last Fall League start, last Thursday, when he singled on a 105.7 mph line drive up the middle, then stole second and scored to spark a five-run rally in Scottsdale's 9-7 win over Salt River. According to Statcast™, the exit velocity was the fourth-fastest of the game and second-fastest of any hit in the game behind Christin Stewart's 106.0 mph single.
