July 3rd, 2021

NEW YORK -- Friday's Subway Series game between the Mets and Yankees has been postponed due to inclement weather. It will be made up as the first game of a split-admission doubleheader on Sunday, beginning at 2:05 p.m. ET.

The updated probable starting pitchers for Saturday's 1:05 p.m. game are right-hander Taijuan Walker for the Mets and left-hander Jordan Montgomery for the Yankees.

On Sunday, the Mets will start right-hander Marcus Stroman in Game 1 and righty Tylor Megill in Game 2. The Yankees plan to have right-hander Gerrit Cole pitch in one of the games, with the other probable starter TBD.

Sunday will be the Mets' fourth doubleheader in 16 days, and their eighth overall this season.

Fans holding paid tickets for Friday's postponed game may use them for the rescheduled game at 2:05 p.m. on Sunday at Yankee Stadium or exchange them for tickets to a similar 2021 regular-season game at Yankee Stadium (subject to availability). Tickets for Friday's game will not be valid for Game 2 of Sunday's doubleheader, which is scheduled for 7:08 p.m.

Yankee Stadium gates for Game 1 will open at 12:30 p.m.
