If you're a baseball player, it's hard to ask for a better landing spot than the Dodgers. Or make that the Yankees. No, wait, definitely the Dodgers. That ping-pong between big-market behemoths has been exactly the experience for outfielder over the past two weeks.

The 26-year-old was claimed off waivers by the Dodgers on Dec. 12 and spent more than a month in the L.A. organization until the two-time defending champs designated him for assignment on Jan. 21. They needed the roster spot for a little-known outfielder by the name of .

After two days in limbo, he was claimed by the Yankees. He spent five days with the Bombers before he was again DFA'd on Jan. 28 in the wake of New York's trade for Rockies flamethrower Angel Chivilli.

It took almost a week this time, but he was soon back in the warm embrace of the Dodgers, who claimed him from the Yankees on Tuesday.

All this attention from these perennial contenders has to be a confidence boost for a budding journeyman with a .547 OPS across 160 Major League games with the Reds and Cardinals. For good measure, he also spent about a month under the Braves' umbrella after they claimed him on Nov. 6.

It's nice to be wanted!
