“Friday Night Baseball” on Apple TV is back for 2026! This week features a young phenom squaring off with a three-time MVP in Cincinnati, along with some of the game's top sluggers sharing the field in Baltimore.

Is it fair to call 23-year-old Chase Burns must-see TV? The right-hander enters his third start of the season touting a 0.82 ERA with 16 strikeouts in 11 innings. He’s blown away the opposition with a four-seam fastball that averages 98.5 mph and a hard biting slider, sparking a strong start for the Reds, who are a half-game out of first place in a stacked NL Central. The latest task for Burns will be quieting Mike Trout and the Angels. Trout began the season on a high note, with a number of underlying metrics indicating that the three-time MVP is fully healthy.

The forecast calls for plenty of power at Camden Yards on Friday night. Gunnar Henderson is beginning to look more like himself following a bit of a down year last season, launching home runs in two of his last three games. Maybe a hot stretch is around the corner for Pete Alonso: The ever-dangerous Polar Bear has just one home run with his new team. On the other side, Rafael Devers ought to be happy about facing the Orioles. His 23 career home runs against Baltimore stand as his third-highest total against any team, while he's notched 13 career home runs at Camden Yards. The only ballparks that he's hit more home runs in are Fenway Park and Yankee Stadium.
With MLB and Apple continuing their partnership in 2026, Apple TV will once again be bringing baseball fans a weekly Friday night doubleheader. “Friday Night Baseball,” which includes live pre- and postgame shows, will stream exclusively on Apple TV and be free from local broadcast restrictions.
