Minor Leaguers get their first taste of full-season ball at Single-A, and it's often a springboard for breakout campaigns. That was very much the case this year, with memorable showings across the California, Carolina and Florida State Leagues. On Tuesday, Minor League Baseball announced its 2026 end-of-season All-Stars and award winners.
There were plenty of big names across Single-A, including Pirates right-hander Seth Hernandez, Rockies outfielder/second baseman Roldy Brito and Brewers shortstop Brady Ebel. That trio earned Top MLB Prospect honors in their respective leagues as Dodgers first baseman Easton Shelton, Rays shortstop Cooper Flemming and Marlins infielder Echedry Vargas were named MVP.
Here is a full breakdown of the hardware awarded across Single-A:
California League
Most Valuable Player: Easton Shelton, Ontario (LAD)
To say that Shelton was the most dominant player in the California League would certainly be an understatement. The non-drafted free agent out of powerhouse Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas paced the circuit with 37 home runs -- 16 more than any other player. His 1.047 OPS was 151 points higher than anyone else, and his 112 RBIs were tops by 26. He did have the second-most strikeouts, but the 20-year-old's offensive impact was undeniable.
Pitcher of the Year: Brady Parker, Fresno (COL)
Parker's debut season was a smashing success after he signed for $1500,000 as a 2025 11th-rounder out of Houston-Victoria. The 6-foot-2 southpaw spent much of the first half in the bullpen but really took off when he moved into the Grizzlies' rotation in June. Across 112 1/3 innings, he led the circuit with 152 strikeouts, a 3.61 ERA and a .219 average against. The 22-year-old had an 18-inning scoreless streak in the first half and gave up one or no earned runs in half of his 26 outings.
Top MLB Prospect: Roldy Brito, Fresno (COL)
Brito joined Fresno late last season and thrived (.905) in 33 games. He carried that over to a dynamic 2026 campaign in which he slashed .327/.390/.506 with eight homers and 18 steals in 79 games before earning a promotion to High-A Spokane. The 19-year-old Dominican Republic native enterred the Top 100 prospect list in April -- he now ranks No. 54 -- and started in the All-Star Futures Game. He showed immense versatility, switch-hitting and splitting his time defensively between center field and second base.

Most Valuable Player: Cooper Flemming, Charleston (TB)
The RiverDogs' lineup was loaded with 2025 Draft picks this season, and Flemming, selected 53rd overall, stood out above the rest. The former Vanderbilt commit used added weight from over the offseason to become a well-rounded offensive force as he led the Carolina League in hits (133), doubles (29) and RBIs (79) while posting an .829 OPS that ranked fifth. The left-handed hitter showed a mature approach at the plate and received high marks for his makeup.
Pitcher of the Year: Aidan Cremarosa, Charleston (TB)
Cremarosa had one of the best outings of the Minor League season, an 11-strikeout no-hitter that was the Minors' first solo nine-inning effort since Aug. 20, 2022. However, his season was so much more than that one brilliant outing. The 2025 eighth-rounder paced Carolina League pitchers (min. 70 IP) with a 23.8 percent K-BB rate and a 0.90 WHIP, ranked second in FIP (3.02) and finished sixth in ERA (2.82).
Top MLB Prospect: Brady Ebel, Wilson (MIL)
After the Brewers drafted him 32nd overall in 2025, Ebel struggled in 16 games for Single-A Wilson. The California native returned to play for the relocated Wilson Warbirds and was a revelation as he paced the circuit with a .417 on-base percentage and 96 walks while ranking fourth with a .837 OPS and playing solid shortstop defense. Ebel earned a promotion to High-A in August and cracked the Top 100 in August -- he currently ranks as MLB's No. 97 prospect.

Most Valuable Player: Echedry Vargas, Jupiter (MIA)
Vargas long stood out for his ability to create hard contact when the Marlins acquired him as part of the Jake Burger trade in December 2024. He's taken that to another level in his second season in Miami's farm system. The 21-year-old paced the Florida State League in homers (27), slugging percentage (.611), OPS (.983), hits (121) and RBIs (94) -- many by a wide margin. Originally signed as a shortstop, Vargas played all four infield positions this season, primarily the infield corners.
Pitcher of the Year: Henry Lalane, Tampa (NYY)
Lalane has long tantalized with his combination of size and stuff, and things finally clicked for the 6-foot-7 lefty in 2026. Among Florida State League pitchers with at least 60 innings, he was first in K-BB rate (23.9 percent), FIP (2.63) and WHIP (0.99) and second in ERA (2.74). In his final five starts before a promotion to High-A -- and subsequent trade to the Giants -- the 22-year-old gave up just five runs over 35 1/3 innings with 50 K's to 10 walks.
Top MLB Prospect: Seth Hernandez, Bradenton (PIT)
Herandez's pro debut was breathtaking from the first pitch -- a 102.4 mph "beam of light" at the Pirates' Spring Breakout game. That brilliance carried over to Bradenton, where the 6-foot-4 righty averaged 97.1 mph on his fastball and picked up 50 strikeouts in 28 innings with just a 0.96 ERA and 0.94 WHIP. What's more, the former Vanderbilt commit didn't give up a hit in half of his outings with the Marauders. The seventh overall pick in the 2025 Draft is the top right-handed pitching prospect in the game and No. 7 overall.
