The show, hosted by Kait Maniscalco, continues the revival of the classic series that debuted in 1977 as a 30-minute show and ran for most of the next three-plus decades to give baseball fans a dose of highlights and fun stories.
The new short-form version continues in that spirit, showcasing the biggest plays and storylines from the week, along with bloopers, the iconic TWIB Notes and more.
This week’s TWIB also puts a spotlight on Cardinals rookie Joshua Báez, whose three-homer game might just have been the best MLB debut … ever? The show also takes a moment to recognize some of the game’s “phantom” players -- an ode to Archibald “Moonlight” Graham -- who appeared on Major League rosters but never played in a game.
