The weekly MLB Sunday Leadoff game will always be streamed on Peacock while most of the games will also be aired on NBCSN, NBC Sports' cable network. This weekend's matchup features Shea Langeliers and the Athletics visiting Zach Neto and the Angels in an AL West rivalry matchup.
Here is what you need to know about this showdown.
Athletics at Angels, 3:15 p.m. ET on Peacock & NBCSN
This will be the sixth meeting between these two clubs in the past 10 days. They split a four-game series last weekend and have split the first two games of this three-game set in Anaheim. The Angels (35-49) scored three runs in the late innings of Saturday's contest to pull out a 5-2 win. They have been without franchise superstar Mike Trout since June 18 due to a right hamstring strain. But Neto (17 home runs) and Jo Adell (11 home runs) can do some damage at the plate.
Speaking of damage, the A's have hit 107 home runs this year, which ranks seventh in the Majors. Langeliers and Nick Kurtz are leading the way with 19 dingers each. However, Kurtz is not in today's starting lineup. At 40-43, the A's are just 1 1/2 games out of the lead in the AL West. They will send veteran right-handed starter Aaron Civale (5-4, 4.88 ERA) to the mound. He will be opposed by 24-year-old lefty Sam Aldegheri (2-3, 5.47 ERA).
