June 6th, 2017

NEW YORK -- Though hasn't put it all together yet from an offensive standpoint, his numbers are likely to heat up with the weather. As for his glove, that has been stellar all season. Hardly a game goes by when Betts doesn't make a fantastic play in right field.
Coming off the first All-Star appearance of his career last season, Betts is in contention to get the nod again come July.

As the second round of American League balloting was released on Tuesday, Betts ranked fourth in the outfield with 519,146 votes, but is within striking distance of (554,620) for the third spot.
"He contributes on all sides of the baseball for us," Red Sox manager John Farrell said of Betts.
Red Sox rookie outfielder is also in the mix for a starting spot, as he currently ranks sixth with 416,461 votes.
Benintendi ripped two homers in Sunday's win over the Orioles, a sign that he might be ready to get hot again.

"I know it can turn bad, and then you snap a finger and it can turn the other way. I'm just going to continue to work and keep trying to find that swing," Benintendi said.
