Messages of empathy, expressions of anger, and calls for justice and systemic change remain the central focus on social media more than a week after Floyd's tragic death in Minneapolis.

Floyd’s death has inspired people from beyond the African-American community to speak out and engage with movements for racial progress and reform. Former Yankees ace CC Sabathia shared an image of his children participating in a protest, and pleaded for “no more silence” from non-black citizens on his Instagram.
