White Sox slugging sensation Munetaka Murakami was at it again on Monday, slamming his 18th home run of the season to retake the American League lead from Yankees star Aaron Judge.
Murakami's home run, which tied the game at 1 in the bottom of the first inning, came on a 97.5 mph four-seamer by Twins starter Zebby Matthews. It left the bat at 105.7 mph, traveled 375 feet and would have been a home run in every MLB park but Fenway.
Murakami's big fly was his first since May 16, when he cleared the fences twice in an 8-3 win over the Cubs.
