Nats open 2017 season at home, face AL West

Club's four-game home-and-home series with O's set for May 8-11

WASHINGTON -- The Nationals will be at home on Opening Day for the sixth time since baseball returned to Washington in 2005 when they host the Marlins on April 3, 2017. Major League Baseball released its 2017 schedule on Wednesday, giving fans a first glimpse of the 13 homestands that will take place at Nationals Park next season.
The annual Battle of the Beltways with the Orioles will take place in May during a four-game home-and-home series -- May 8-9 at Camden Yards and the next two days in D.C.

The Nationals will host two holiday crowds in 2017, on Mother's Day against the Phillies on May 14 and when the Mets visit for the Fourth of July contest.
2017 NATS PLUS memberships
For its Interleague matchups other than the Orioles next season, Washington will play the American League West, which includes visits from the Mariners (May 23-25), Rangers (June 9-11) and and the Angels (Aug. 15-16). The Nationals will travel to Oakland (June 2-4), Los Angeles (July 18-19) and Houston (Aug. 22-24).
Eighteen of the Nationals' first 25 games next season will come against their rivals from the National League East, and Washington will play 25 of its final 36 games within the division. The final series of the 2017 season will come at home against the Pirates, a four-game set from Sept. 28-Oct. 1.
