WASHINGTON -- The Nationals snapped a seven-game losing skid on Friday with an eighth-inning rally that put them on top, one at-bat at a time, during a 4-3 win over the Angels at Nationals Park.
Trailing, 2-1, after seven, Brady House drew a walk against Samy Natera Jr., and CJ Abrams hit a line-drive single. Dylan Crews laid down a soft bunt to load the bases with no outs.
Following a mound visit, Natera got Yohandy Morales to ground into a force out. Andrew Pinckney, pinch-hitting for Harry Ford, then hit a game-tying sacrifice fly to right field.
Morales stole second base with Jorbit Vivas at the plate. In a 2-2 count, Vivas connected on a go-ahead double that drove in Crews and Morales.
Three days after the Nationals set a Major League record for the most blown saves in a season, Erik Tolman secured the game in the ninth inning.
