Nationals move doubleheader vs. Phils to Friday

WASHINGTON -- With inclement weather from Hurricane Ian forecasted to impact the Washington, D.C., area this weekend, scheduling changes have been made to the Nationals and Phillies four-game series at Nationals Park. 

Game 2 on Saturday, originally scheduled at 7:05 p.m. ET as a split doubleheader, will be played at 1:05 p.m. ET on Friday as Game 1 of a split doubleheader. 

Tickets from the Saturday evening game will be honored for the Friday afternoon matchup. Gates for Game 2 on Friday will open 75 minutes following the final out of Game 1 or at 5:30 p.m. ET (whichever is later). Separate tickets are required for each game.

The revised schedule for the Nationals' final homestand of the regular season is:

  • Friday, Sept. 30: 1:05 p.m. ET (previously Saturday evening); 7:05 p.m. ET
  • Saturday, Oct. 1: 1:05 p.m. ET 
  • Sunday, Oct. 2: 1:35 p.m. ET
