Game Delay and Postponement Information

Delayed Game Ticket Policies

In the event there is a delay due to inclement weather of greater than one hour prior to the game becoming an official game and the game is resumed and becomes an official game, tickets purchased through nationals.com, the Nationals Box Office, or a Nationals representative may be eligible for exchange.

Delayed Game Exchange Procedures

In the event there is a delay due to inclement weather of greater than one hour prior to the game becoming an official game and the game is resumed and becomes an official game, tickets purchased through nationals.com, the Nationals Box Office, or a Nationals representative may be eligible for exchange.
 
If you are in attendance at the delayed game and choose to leave, you may exchange your tickets for a future game during the 2018 regular season subject to blackout dates and availability. To exchange your tickets, you must exit Nationals Park and visit the Main Box Office located on N St.

If you are not in attendance at the delayed game, you may exchange your tickets online choosing from a select list of future games. To exchange your tickets, visit nationals.com/rain and select the game for which you have tickets for additional information.

The following tickets are not eligible for delayed game exchanges: complimentary tickets, community tickets marked CHARITY and Luxury and Party Suite tickets.

The Nationals are not responsible for and will not provide any refunds or exchanges of any ticket purchased via StubHub or any other secondary market reseller.

Postponed Game Ticket Policies

In the event a regulation game, as defined by Major League Baseball, is not played due to weather or any other reason, the ticket will constitute a rain check that can be either: (a) used for admission to the rescheduled game, if any, subject to certain doubleheader limitations; or (b) the paid value of your tickets to a postponed or cancelled game can be redeemed for tickets to a future 2018 regular season game, subject to blackout dates and availability, and minus any Loaded Value previously spent. Under no circumstances will a refund be given.

If attending the announced make-up game, the original ticket will need to be used to gain entry to Nationals Park. Please retain this ticket as it must be used for admittance if attending the rescheduled game. The Nationals are not responsible for lost or stolen tickets.

Season Plan Holders choosing to use their rain check ticket for a different 2018 regular season game must visit nationals.com/exchange for processing. 

Single game ticket holders, who purchased through nationals.com, choosing to use their rain check ticket for a different 2018 regular season game must bring their ticket from the cancelled game to the Nationals Park Box Office for processing.

Rain check requests cannot be mailed in or be handled over the phone.

Any rain check exchanges must occur before the makeup date for the rescheduled game. Under no circumstances will a refund be given.

Community Tickets: Tickets distributed through any community initiatives (marked CHARITY) are valid for the announced make-up game only and cannot be rain checked for a future 2018 regular season game. The original ticket can only be used for entry to the announced make-up game.

Complimentary Tickets (including Player and Employee tickets): Complimentary tickets or equivalent tickets will be cancelled and are not valid for the make-up game and may not be rain checked for any other 2018 regular season game.

Group Tickets: Group Tickets are subject to the same policies as described above, subject to availability. If catering or hospitality was ordered or included as part of the group outing, please have your Group Leader contact your Nationals ticket sales representative regarding specific policies concerning hospitality.

Luxury Suites and Party Suites: Tickets in these areas may only be used for the rescheduled game unless you have purchased insurance. For any questions or inquiries, please contact your group leader or Nationals representative for more information.

Red Carpet Rewards: Tickets and parking passes redeemed for Red Carpet Rewards points are not eligible for exchange. All tickets and parking passes will be voided and points returned to the Red Carpet Rewards account.

Hospitality Areas (CF Social, Home Plate Tailgate, Birthday Parties, Family Picnic Area): Tickets in hospitality areas may not be rain checked individually. The group leader must contact your Nationals ticket representative if you wish to inquire about tickets in these areas for a game other than the rescheduled game.

StubHub/Secondary Market Ticket Purchases: For tickets purchased via StubHub or another reseller, please refer to the help section of the site from which you purchased your tickets for details pertaining to postponed, rescheduled or cancelled events. The Nationals are not responsible for and will not provide any refunds or exchanges of any ticket purchased via StubHub or any other secondary market reseller. Any questions regarding tickets purchased via StubHub for a postponed, rescheduled or cancelled event should be directed to StubHub Customer Service at customerservice@stubhub.com.

Promotional Items: If a game featuring a scheduled promotional giveaway is postponed due to inclement weather before gates open, the promotional item will be distributed on the rescheduled date. Otherwise, the item will be distributed until the game is postponed or while supplies last, whichever comes first. Any remaining items will be distributed at the rescheduled game.

Postponed Game Exchange Procedures

Season Plan Holders

Season Plan Holders may attend the rescheduled game by using their originally issued seats or Season Plan Holder Card. If you sent seats to a friend via your online Access Account, simply encourage them to keep those tickets and bring them to the rescheduled game for entry.

Exchange via nationals.com/exchange

Season Plan Holders may exchange their postponed tickets for any game during the 2018 regular season except for the 7/2 - 7/4 games vs the Boston Red Sox. This exchange request must be submitted prior to the start of the rescheduled game.

Exchange at Box Office

Season Plan Holders may exchange valid printed tickets at the Nationals Park Box Office (tickets on Season Plan Holder Cards cannot be exchanged at the windows). Tickets exchanged in person at the Nationals Park Box Office for a date other than the rescheduled game are subject to current gate pricing and are not eligible to receive the Season Plan Holder ticket rate.

Individual Tickets

Individual game ticket holders may attend the rescheduled game by using their originally issued tickets. In the event an individual ticket holder cannot attend the rescheduled game, they may exchange their tickets only at the Nationals Park Box Office, during regular business hours for any other 2018 home game, subject to current gate pricing, blackout dates, and availability of the game of their choice. You may not exchange for the 7/2 - 7/4 games vs the Boston Red Sox. 

On gamedays, the Nationals Park Box Office is open Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m. until 30 minutes after the end of the game, and Sunday from 9 a.m. (10 a.m. for evening games) until 30 minutes after the end of the game. Box Office hours on non-gamedays are Monday through Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (closed on non-game Sundays and holidays). 5/15 vs. Yankees

The May 15 Nationals vs. Yankees game has been suspended and is considered an official game by MLB. It will resume May 16 at 5:05 PM. You must have a ticket to the regularly scheduled May 16 game to attend the conclusion of the suspended game.

5/16 vs. Yankees

The continuation of last night's game and tonight's regularly scheduled game against the New York Yankees have both been postponed due to impending inclement weather. The continuation of the May 15th game will be played on Monday, June 18th at 5:05 p.m. The game originally scheduled for tonight (5/16) will be played on Monday, June 18th and will begin approximately thirty minutes after the conclusion of the previous game. Please hold onto your tickets and parking passes. Tickets to the 5/16 game will be honored for both the completion of last night's game and the rescheduled game

5/18 vs. Dodgers

Tonight's game against the Los Angeles Dodgers has been postponed due to inclement weather. The game will be made up as part of a split doubleheader tomorrow - Saturday, May 19th. The first game will begin at 2:05 p.m. (the rescheduled game) and the second game will begin at 8:05 p.m. (the regularly scheduled game).

All tickets for tonight's game will be honored for the rescheduled game at 2:05 p.m. Please hold onto your tickets and parking passes. 

All gates for the 8:05 p.m. game will open 1.5 hours after the last out of the 2:05 p.m. game or 7:00 p.m., whichever is later. The two games against the Dodgers on Saturday will require separate admission. 

Tickets for tonight's game can be exchanged for any other 2018 regular season game excluding the 7/2 - 7/4 games vs the Boston Red Sox. All exchanges must occur before the start of the rescheduled game.

7/21 vs. Braves

Last night's game against the Atlanta Braves was postponed due to inclement weather. The game will be made up as part of a split doubleheader on Tuesday, August 7th. The first game will begin at 1:05 p.m. (the rescheduled game) and the second game will begin at 7:05 p.m. (the regularly scheduled game).  
 
All tickets for last night's game will be honored for the rescheduled game at 1:05 p.m. on Tuesday, August 7th. Please hold onto your tickets and parking passes. 
 
All gates for the 7:05 p.m. game will open 1.5 hours after the last out of the 1:05 p.m. game or 6:00 p.m., whichever is later. The two games against the Braves on 8/7 will require separate admission. 
 
Tickets for last night's game can be exchanged for any other 2018 regular season game. All exchanges must occur before the start of the rescheduled game.

8/3 vs. Reds

Tonight's game against the Cincinnati Reds has been postponed due to inclement weather. The game will be made up as part of a split doubleheader tomorrow - Saturday, August 4th. The first game will begin at 1:05 p.m. (the rescheduled game) and the second game will begin at 7:05 p.m. (the regularly scheduled game). 

All tickets for tonight's game will be honored for the rescheduled game at 1:05 p.m. tomorrow. Please hold onto your tickets and parking passes.

All gates for the 7:05 p.m. game will open 1.5 hours after the last out of the 1:05 p.m. game or 6:00 p.m., whichever is later. The two games against the Reds on 8/4 will require separate admission.

Tickets for tonight's game can be exchanged for any other 2018 regular season game. All exchanges must occur before the start of the rescheduled game.

9/7 vs. Cubs

Tonight's game against the Chicago Cubs has been postponed due to inclement weather. The game will be made up as part of a single admission doubleheader tomorrow - Saturday, September 8th. The first game will begin at 3:05 p.m., and the second game will begin approximately 45 minutes after the conclusion of the first game. You must have a ticket for the 7:05 p.m. game on 9/8 to enter the ballpark tomorrow.

Tickets for tonight's game can be exchanged for any other 2018 regular season game. All exchanges must occur before the end of the 2018 regular season. Tickets for tonight's game (9/7) cannot be used for entry into the ballpark tomorrow.   

All gates for the 3:05 p.m. game will open at 1:00 p.m.

Today's game against the Chicago Cubs has been postponed due to inclement weather. The game has been rescheduled for Thursday, September 13th at 4:05 p.m.  

All tickets for today's game will be honored for the rescheduled game at 4:05 p.m. on 9/13. Please hold onto your tickets and parking passes.

All gates for the 4:05 p.m. game will open at 2:30 p.m.  

Tickets for today's game can be exchanged for any other 2018 regular season game.
