Syndergaard to return, start Friday vs. Nats

July 11th, 2018

NEW YORK -- Right-handed ace will return from the disabled list to start for the Mets on Friday night against the Nationals, manager Mickey Callaway said Wednesday.
Syndergaard "feels great" after throwing a bullpen session on Wednesday, according to Callaway.
Syndergaard has been on the disabled list since May 26 with a strained ligament in his right index finger. He made a rehab appearance on Sunday with Class A Short-Season Brooklyn, allowing two hits and one run with seven strikeouts over five innings. Syndergaard owns a 3.06 ERA in 11 games this season for the Mets.
