DENVER -- Rockies third baseman Nolan Arenado shook off a slightly sprained left hand and went 1-for-4 with a double and a sacrifice fly in Monday night's 5-4 loss to the Marlins at Coors Field, one day after leaving a game early.
Arenado exited Sunday's 8-4 victory over the Padres at Petco Park in the fifth inning. He had suffered the injury two innings before, when he was jammed on a Luis Perdomo pitch and lined softly to third.
"I was more worried about yesterday because I got taken out, but there's six games left and it's go time -- you've just got to deal with certain things," Arenado said before the game, and added that he "felt fine" in a batting cage session.
Arenado's sixth-inning leadoff double came off Marlins starter Odrisamer Despaigne. His sacrifice came off righty reliever Drew Steckenrider in the seventh. He also attempted a barehand play on Marcell Ozuna's soft bouncer in the fourth and didn't appear hampered defensively.

Right fielder Carlos Gonzalez, who suffered a left shoulder injury attempting to make a diving catch on Saturday night, pinch hit in the ninth and struck out. He said before the game hitting wouldn't be an issue but throwing could be. A decision will be made Tuesday on whether he can start.
"There's nothing you can do about it; you're always going to have to deal with some soreness," Gonzalez said. "Sometimes, it's hurting pretty bad and they have to take you out of the lineup. But at this time, everybody has to deal with something. We're doing anything possible just to be good enough to play baseball especially at this time. We want to be out there, helping win games."

Monday's loss was the sixth in the Rockies' last eight games.
