With runs at a premium in Friday night's clash against Team Colombia in the World Baseball Classic at Marlins Park, Team USA did everything it could to scratch out a 3-2, 10-inning victory.
That was never more evident than in the sixth inning with at the plate, at third base and at second after just hitting an RBI double.

Arenado fell behind in the count and on the fifth pitch of the at-bat, struck out swinging on a curveball. However, as the ball trickled past the catcher, Arenado hustled down the line and slid headfirst into the bag, just beating the throw on what would have been the final out of the inning.
Seeing all of this unfolding in front of him, Kinsler bolted down the line and beat the throw home to tie the score at 2.
"I think what it says across our chest is what we're about," Jones said. "Individually, obviously we do our own special things, but right now we're taking a back seat to our own egos and doing what we have to do for Team USA. Right now this is who we play for, so we're trying to do everything and anything possible just to win the game.
"And it showed throughout the game, we are willing to sacrifice our personal betterments for the greater good, and obviously we just kept fighting and fighting and fighting, and we were just able to pull this one out."
