O's add Borbon to bolster OF; Wright optioned

NEW YORK -- Currently down , the Orioles selected the contract of outfielder and optioned to Triple-A Norfolk prior to Saturday's game.
"Borbon is our best option at this point," aid Orioles manager Buck Showalter, who started Borbon in center field on Saturday. "He's got some foot speed and experience in the big leagues, including here this year."
Jones, who left Friday's game in the second inning with a left hamstring strain, said he felt better Saturday and remains optimistic he can avoid the disabled list. In the interim, the O's will have to go with a short bullpen to make sure they're covered in the outfield.
"Adam was trying to talk us into playing today," Showalter said. "I got a feeling if he hadn't had that swinging bunt, he might have played nine [innings] without a problem [Friday]. You know how they wet the field down, and he's not going to trot to first base, as much as I talked to him about it before the game. Heck, who knows, he might pinch-hit today."
Wright, who came up when the Orioles placed on the disabled list, is 3-4 with a 5.89 ERA in 16 games this season.
"He's an option to come back. We'll see," Showalter said of adding Wright for roster expansion on Thursday. "I'm sure we'll have some guys not come up, but go to [the team's spring facility in] Sarasota, [Fla.]. And some guys come to us."
Tillman, who will test his arm on Tuesday, could move quickly after that. Showalter said the Os may not have the right-hander make any rehab starts before he's activated.
