OAKLAND -- Timothy Beckham's two-run double capped a seven-run first inning and the Orioles cruised behind Dylan Bundy to a 12-5 win over the A's on Saturday night at the Coliseum.
The Orioles sent 11 to the plate in the first inning, with Manny Machado and Adam Jones adding RBI doubles to chase A's starter Sean Manaea with just one out. The left-hander walked the leadoff batter and allowed six straight hits before being pulled, with his only out coming on a play at the plate.
Bundy gave up a homer in each of the first two innings, but settled down from there, finishing with three runs on seven hits in six innings. The right-hander struck out 10 for the second straight start, tying a career-high and picking up his 12th win of the season.
The Orioles pitcher sat in the dugout for nearly 30 minutes as Baltimore piled up its seven-run lead.

"It's difficult, but it's also just an excuse," Bundy said. "We were really feeling the slider into lefties and away to righties after they didn't let many fastballs go by without swinging at them, so we had to constantly mix pitches tonight."
With the win, the Orioles remain 1 1/2 games back in the race for the second American League Wild Card spot.
For the A's, Khris Davis hit a two-run homer in the first for his 32nd of the year, tied for the fifth-most in the Majors. Rookie Matt Olson added a homer to lead off the second. Oakland scored two more in the eighth on a Bruce Maxwell sac fly and a Marcus Semien single.

"Nothing really bad; my body felt good," Manaea said. "They hit the ball really well. I don't even want to say it's like one of those days; the past three starts have been awful … I just happened to be really bad today. That's all I've got."
A's manager Bob Melvin added, "Missing some location, some balls in the middle of the plate, they hit some balls that were off the plate, in and away. It didn't look like he had very good feel for his slider. It was a tough day for him."
MOMENTS THAT MATTERED
Bundy ends night with a bang: The A's threatened Bundy in the sixth, getting runners on the corners with one out. But the right-hander got Semien and Boog Powell to strike out swinging to end the inning and finish his night.

Jones tacks on two: After the seven-run first, Jones gave the Orioles a little more with a two-run single in the fourth. The cleanup hitter finished the night 3-for-5 with three RBIs.
"They were getting ready to get a momentum swing and it knocked a little starch out," Orioles manager Buck Showalter said. "That's a typical Adam Jones base hit."

Orioles: Right-hander Jeremy Hellickson (7-6, 4.45 ERA) makes his third start since coming over in a trade from Philadelphia. Hellickson has 12 strikeouts and has not allowed a home run in 13 innings with his new club. First pitch is scheduled for 4:05 p.m. ET.
Athletics: Right-hander Kendall Graveman (2-3, 4.97 ERA) will take the mound for Sunday's 1:05 p.m. PT series finale. Graveman is winless in two starts since coming off the disabled list.
