BALTIMORE -- The Orioles placed right-hander on the paternity list before Saturday's 5-2 win over the Indians and recalled from Triple-A Norfolk.
Jimenez's pregnant wife wasn't due until Aug. 21, but manager Buck Showalter said pregame that her water broke and Jimenez was at a hospital with her. Jimenez can be on paternity leave for three days before returning.
The 32-year-old has been a starter for most of the season, but he hasn't pitched in a game since July 8 after struggling in the rotation. He is 5-9 with a 7.38 ERA this season.
Wilson, who began the year with the Orioles, was sent down on July 3 after allowing eight runs in a start the previous day. The righty has a 5.22 ERA in 81 innings with Baltimore.
Wilson made two starts with Norfolk, posting a 10.13 ERA. Wilson, who last pitched on Wednesday, will provide a long-relief option for the Orioles after they used for 3 2/3 innings on Friday.
