Flaherty hopes to come off DL for homestand

Orioles infielder sidelined since May with shoulder strain

SEATTLE -- , who is on the 60-day disabled list with a right shoulder strain, was assigned to Class A Frederick for the final stop in his rehab assignment. Orioles manager Buck Showalter said Flaherty is expected to be activated when the Orioles return to Baltimore on Thursday.
Flaherty served as the designated hitter Monday and will play shortstop on Tuesday for Frederick.
The 31-year-old infielder hit .233/.324/.267 in 13 games this season before his injury.
Worth noting
Orioles starter will skip his next start due to the Orioles having an off-day on Thursday before starting a three-game series with Anaheim. His next outing will either be on Aug. 22 or 23, according to Showalter, in Oakland.
Bundy threw 104 pitches over six inning in his last start Saturday at Oakland.
