Mercado earns Play of Week with leaping catch

Indians center fielder 's game-saving grab in the top of the ninth inning against the White Sox on Wednesday has been recognized as the Play of the Week presented by W.B. Mason.

With Cleveland holding an 8-6 lead and the bases loaded, laced a 110.8-mph liner to center that likely would have given Chicago the lead if not for Mercado, who made an amazing leaping catch before sprawling onto the grass.
