Padres affiliates go 7-0 Saturday

El Paso owns best record in PCL

The bats came alive throughout the Padres' system Saturday night as all seven affiliate teams won, with two getting 19 or more hits and a total of 11 home runs in the system.
Triple-A El Paso scored a 7-4 win at Reno to run their Pacific Coast League-best record to 44-31.
Third baseman River Stevens had four hits, including a home run, for four RBIs; designated hitter Gabriel Quintana had two doubles and five RBIs, and starting right-hander Dinelson Lamet allowed one hit over six innings as Double-A San Antonio scored a 16-0 Texas League win at Midland.
Right fielder Franmil Reyes hit two of Class A Advanced Lake Elsinore's six homers at Lancaster in a 14-5 win, and Class A Fort Wayne scored a 9-2 win at Bowling Green.
Catcher-infielder Diego Goris was promoted from San Antonio to El Paso Saturday, while former Major League pitcher Edwin Jackson was moved to El Paso from the roster of short-season Class A Tri-City. Catcher Ricardo Valenzuela was transferred from El Paso to Lake Elsinore.
AROUND THE FARM:
TRIPLE-A EL PASO (44-31) - Chihuahuas 7, RENO 4: CF Manuel Margot (.299) was 2-for-5 with two RBIs. SS Casey McElroy (.313) was 2-for-4 with a double, an RBI and a run scored. 3B Goris (.369) was 1-for-2 with a run scored. Starting RHP Carlos Pimental (7-4, 6.39 earned run average) allowed four runs on nine hits and three walks with five strikeouts in five innings to get the win. RHP Michael Dimock (4.50 ERA) struck out four in two perfect innings. LHP Daniel Moskos (2.41) issued a walk with three strikeouts in an otherwise perfect 1 1/3 innings. RHP Derek Eitel (2.29) retired the final two hitters, one by strikeout.
DOUBLE-A SAN ANTONIO (2-3, 24-51) - Missions 16, MIDLAND 0: Lamet (0-1, 4.29 ERA) allowed one hit and five walks with nine strikeouts over the six innings. LHP Kyle McGrath (1.64) allowed a hit with three strikeouts in three innings to complete the shutout. Offensively, the Missions had 19 hits. Stevens (.278) was 4-for-5 with a homer, 4 RBIs and four runs scored. Quintana (.246) was 3-for-5 with two doubles, five RBIs and a run scored. LF Nick Torres (.307) was 3-for-5 with a double, two RBIs and three runs scored. RF Nick Schulz (.298) extended his hitting streak to 13 straight games, going 2-for-6 with a steal, an RBI and a run scored. SS Jose Rondon (.279) was 2-for-6 with two runs scored. C Rocky Gale (.235) was 2-for-5 with a run scored. CF Auston Bousfield (.167) was 2-for-5 with an RBI and a run scored. 1B Luis Tejada (.333) had a double in five at-bats for three RBIs.
CLASS A ADVANCED LAKE ELSINORE (2-1, 34-39) - Storm 14, LANCASTER 5: Lake Elsinore had six homers and 20 hits. Reyes (.247) was 3-for-5 with a double and his two homers for four RBIs. CF Michael Gettys (.357) had a double and a homer in five at-bats with two runs scored. 2B Luis Urias (.320) was 3-for-5 with a homer and two runs scored. SS Javier Guerra (.203) was 2-for-5 with a homer, two RBIs and two runs scored. LF Edwin Moreno (.236) was 2-for-5 with a homer, three RBIs and two runs scored. CF Jhonatan Pena (.218) hit a three-run homer in four at-bats. DH Marcus Greene (.250) homered in four at-bats and 3B Kodie Tidwell (.245) homered in five at-bats. 1B Ty France (.242) was 1-for-4 with a double and a run scored. SS Ruddy Giron (.188) was 2-for-4. Starting RHP Austin Smith (5.64 ERA) allowed a run on four hits and two walks with a strikeout in four innings. RHP Elliot Morris (1-0, 5.40 ERA) allowed a run on two hits with two strikeouts in three innings. RHP Gerardo Reyes (1.85) gave up three hits with a strikeout in two scoreless innings for his fifth save.
