SAN DIEGO – The San Diego Padres selected 16 players on the second and final day of Major League Baseball’s 2026 First-Year Player Draft and took 21 players overall.
In the 2026 Draft, the Padres selected 11 position players (3 outfielders, 3 shortstops, 1 second baseman, 1 first baseman and 3 catchers) and 10 pitchers (6 right-handed pitchers and 4 left-handed pitchers). The club selected 18 college players and 3 from the high school ranks.
