SAN DIEGO – The San Diego Padres selected seven players on the second day of Major League Baseball’s 2023 First-Year Player Draft and eight players overall.

In the first two days of the draft, the Padres selected six position players (three center fielders, one shortstop, one second basemen, and one catcher), one right-handed pitcher, and one two-way player. The club selected five college players and three from the high school ranks.

The MLB draft will conclude tomorrow on Tuesday, July 11^th with rounds 11-20.
