Tickets on sale for Classic qualifier in Panama

Tickets have gone on sale for next month's Panama qualifier, one of four international tournaments this year to qualify for spots in the 2017 World Baseball Classic.
The presale of tickets, at a 50 percent discount, for the four-nation qualifier to be held Mar. 17-20 in Panama City's Rod Carew Stadium will run through Feb. 15. Thereafter, tickets will remain on sale at the regular prices.
Fans can purchase tickets at Ticket Plus Audio Foto stores and E-Pago centers.
Rod Carew Stadium is being refurbished for the qualifier that, in addition to the host country of Panama, will include Colombia, France and Spain.
The opening qualifier comes up Feb. 11-14 in Sydney, Australia, among the host country, New Zealand, the Philippines and South Africa. Other qualifiers are set for March 17-20 in Mexicali, Mexico (Mexico, Czech Republic, Germany, Nicaragua), and Sept. 22-25 in Brooklyn, New York (Brazil, Great Britain, Israel, Pakistan).
