WASHINGTON -- Pat Neshek just rejoined the Phillies’ bullpen on Sunday, but he could be headed back to the 10-day injured list.
He left Wednesday night’s 2-0 loss to the Nationals at Nationals Park in the eighth inning after he strained his left hamstring while throwing a pitch.
“It’s a joke,” a frustrated Neshek said.
Neshek was on the IL from May 25 through Saturday because of a strained right shoulder. He is 0-1 with a 5.00 ERA in 20 appearances this season.
“It's a likely IL [stint],” Phillies manager Gabe Kapler said. “I'm not 1,000 percent sure, but it's likely an IL.”
