Phillies reach deals with Luzardo, Duran, others to avoid arbitration

January 8th, 2026

PHILADELPHIA -- The Phillies agreed to one-year contracts with seven players on Thursday, avoiding salary arbitration with each of their eligible candidates.

That group was headlined by electric closer ($7.5 million), left-hander ($11 million) and starting infielders ($10.2 million) and ($5.2 million). The team did not disclose the salary figures, which were reported by MLB.com's Mark Feinsand.

Bohm and Luzardo are set to become free agents following the 2026 season, while Duran and Stott are under team control through '27. Each will once again each be arbitration-eligible next offseason.

The Phillies also agreed to deals for 2026 with left-hander ($1.2 million), outfielder ($5.2 million) and infielder ($4.4 million).

This is the second consecutive offseason in which Philadelphia avoided arbitration with each of its eligible players.

Catchers Rafael Marchán and -- each of whom was also eligible for salary arbitration -- previously agreed to one-year deals in November.
