Phillies cycle history

July 1st, 2020

In baseball, hitting for the cycle is the accomplishment of one batter hitting a single, a double, a triple and a home run in the same game. Collecting the hits in that order is known as a "natural cycle."

The Phillies have played 20,940 games since 1883, when the franchise was established. Yet there have been only eight cycles in all that time. As far as how many different players, the answer would be seven. Hall of Famer Chuck Klein is the fella who did it twice.

None of the eight have been a natural cycle.

3B Lave Cross, April 24, 1894, at Brooklyn Grooms. 22-5 win. (Details not available).
