CLEARWATER, Fla. -- The Phillies played a little home run derby Tuesday in a 7-5 victory over the Orioles in a Grapefruit League game at Spectrum Field.
Phillies first baseman Tommy Joseph dropped a two-run home run onto the roof of the Tiki Bar in left field in the second inning to give the Phillies a 2-0 lead. Phillies second base prospect Scott Kingery hit a solo homer in the fifth, finishing a triple shy of the cycle. Brock Stassi hit a three-run homer in the eighth to give the Phillies a one-run lead. It was his second game-winning hit in the past week. Aaron Altherr then hit a solo homer to make it a two-run game.
 

"It wakes everybody up," Joseph said of his Tiki Bar homer. "Hopefully it helped out their happy hour."

"Go ahead and put that on the club's tab," Joseph said.

Orioles right fielder Chris Dickerson hit a solo home run into the Tiki Bar in left field in the third inning. It was his first homer of the spring. Johnny Giavotella tripled to left-center to score a run in the fifth to tie the game, and Anthony Santander's sacrifice fly to left scored Giavotella to give the Orioles the one-run lead.
Right-hander Clay Buchholz made his Phillies debut. He allowed two hits and one walk in two scoreless innings. Orioles right-hander Mike Wright made his spring debut. He allowed two hits, and two runs (one earned) and struck out one in two innings.

"I gave up those two runs, but I threw a lot of good pitches, and I'm really happy with some of the pitches I threw," Wright said. "That pitch, I wish I could have back, but I'm really happy with the progression I've made as far as mindset and going out there and executing pitches."

Orioles Up Next: The Orioles host the Red Sox in the first of four meetings this spring at 1:05 p.m. ET Wednesday in Sarasota. Dylan Bundy, who is starting his first game in the Grapefruit League and could start the second game of the regular season, will take the mound.
Phillies Up Next: The Phillies cross the Sunshine Skyway Bridge to play the Rays at 1:05 p.m. ET Wednesday in a Grapefruit League game in Port Charlotte. Right-hander Vince Velasquez will be making his first start of the spring. He is in line to be the Phillies' No. 4 starter once the season begins April 3.
