The Phillies' farm system, recently ranked as baseball's seventh-best by MLBPipeline.com, was on full display Thursday across split squad action in the Grapefruit League.
No. 99 overall prospectRoman Quinn went 2-for-5 with a triple and a solo home run out of the leadoff spot in a 13-4 win over the Yankees, while Phillies top prospect J.P. Crawford (No. 5 overall) scored two runs out of the two-hole. Catcher Jorge Alfaro, the club's sixth-best prospect (No. 96 overall), finished 2-for-2 with a pair of RBIs, and Tyler Goeddel (Phillies' No. 18), the No. 1 overall pick in the 2015 Rule 5 Draft, also collected two hits in the victory.
Starting the Phillies' 3-2 loss against Houston was right-hander Jake Thompson (No. 55 overall), who allowed one unearned run on three hits in two innings, striking out one. His catcher Andrew Knapp, the club's No. 9 prospect, went 2-for-3 out of the three-hole, and right fielder Nick Williams (No. 64 overall) reached base three times in five plate appearances.

• In Brewers split squad action, recently-acquired catcher Jacob Nottingham, the club's new No. 10 prospect, went 2-for-3 with a pair of doubles in a 2-1 win over the Cubs. Left-hander Josh Hader (No. 61 overall) fired two dominant innings in relief, striking out three hitters and generating two groundball outs.
• Pirates No. 6 prospectHarold Ramirez went 2-for-2 with a double and two runs scored in a 10-8 loss against the Blue Jays.
• Speedster Roemon Fields doesn't hit home runs often, but the Blue Jays' No. 14 prospect got one on Thursday when he took Guido Knudson deep in the top of the seventh inning in Toronto's 10-8 win over Pittsbrugh.
• Trea Turner, MLBPipeline.com's No. 11 overall prospect, hopes to break camp as the Nationals' everyday shortstop, and he helped his case Thursday with a solo home run in the sixth inning of the club's 9-4 win over the Mets.
• Astros No. 27 prospectMatt Duffy hit solo home run off Ernesto Frieri, which turned out to be the difference in Houston's 3-2 win over Philly.

• In his first game action since July 2014, Orioles No. 1 prospect (No. 85 overall) Hunter Harvey allowed two hits and struck out one in a scoreless seventh inning.
• Rockies No. 11 prospectTrevor Story, who is competing for the team's Opening Day shortstop gig, launched a three-run homer off Zack Godley in a 6-5 win over Arizona, while David Dahl (No. 46 overall) finished 2-for-2 with a double, RBI and stolen base after replacing Carlos Gonzalez in right field.
