A trio of pitchers combined to throw the fifth no-hitter in Clearwater history as the Threshers no-hit the Daytona Tortugas in a 5-0 victory on Sunday evening.

Kyle Glogoski, Tyler Carr and Keylan Killgore combined for 10 strikeouts and issued three walks in the Threshers first no-hitter since 2017.

Glogoski, who was making his debut with the Threshers (the Phillies Class A Advanced affiliate), got the start and cruised through five innings. The right-hander threw 45 of his 64 pitches for strikes in the outing and that likely wasn’t a surprise since he’s had strong command all season. Prior to his promotion, Glogoski pitched to a 1.30 ERA and struck out 45 while issuing eight walks in 27 2/3 innings for Class A Lakewood.

Carr, a 31st-round pick from the 2018 Draft, took over and retired the first six batters he faced. Carr did issue a walk to begin the eighth, but promptly retired the next three batters to pass the baton off to Killgore.

Killgore made light work of the Tortugas in the ninth, needing just 11 pitches (seven strikes) to breeze through the inning. The right-hander, whom the Phillies grabbed in last year’s Draft (17th round), has pitched to a 1.73 ERA this season and hasn’t surrendered a run since May 21, a span of 10 appearances and 14 2/3 innings.
