Bucs announce Spring Training schedule

PITTSBURGH -- The Pirates' 50th season of Spring Training in Bradenton, Fla., will begin on Feb. 24 with a 1:05 p.m. ET game against the Yankees.
The Pirates on Monday released their schedule of Spring Training home games at LECOM Park, formerly known as McKechnie Field, their southern home since 1969. The Bucs will play 16 games at home next spring, wrapping up their home slate with a 1:05 p.m. game against the Phillies on March 26.
Pittsburgh is scheduled to face Tampa Bay on Feb. 23 in Port Charlotte, Fla. The Pirates will play four consecutive games at LECOM Park from March 16-19, and four of their final six Grapefruit League games will take place at home, including a March 22 night game against the Blue Jays that begins at 6:05 p.m.
After breaking camp in Florida, the Pirates will begin the regular season on March 29 against the Tigers in Detroit.
The Bucs went 19-12-2 last spring, tying the club record for wins, while drawing a record 106,291 fans to 17 Spring Training home games at LECOM Park.
Spring Training season tickets will go on sale Nov. 28. Current season ticket holders will receive their renewal information beginning on Nov. 14 and have until Jan. 12 to renew their seats for next spring. Spring Training season ticket holders also receive a free ticket to the Class A Advanced Bradenton Marauders' opener on April 7.
The Pirates also will offer a six-game "Weekend Package" that goes on sale Nov. 28. That offer includes a ticket for the same seat to all six weekend home games. Single-game tickets are scheduled to go on sale Jan. 20 at 10 a.m. ET at LECOM Park, online at pirates.com/springtraining or by phone at (877) 893-2827. "Early Bird" tickets will go on sale beginning Jan. 18.
