Bucs pick up righty Nova from Yankees

Seven-year veteran won 28 games in first two full seasons

The Pirates acquired right-hander from the Yankees for two players to be named later in a deal completed shortly before Monday's non-waiver Trade Deadline.
Nova is 7-6 with a 4.90 ERA in 21 appearances, 15 of them starts, this season. The 29-year-old is in his seventh season in the Majors, all with New York. He has a career record of 53-39 with a 4.41 ERA.
Nova gave up five runs on six hits in 4 1/3 innings in his last start Friday against the Rays in St. Petersburg, taking the loss.
Nova is on a one-year, $4.1 million contract and can be a free agent after this season.
